Is that your turbo kit or just your front facing manifold? In the video he lists it as a Buschur turbo kit.

Nice condensation on the BOV opening there. I'd be really worried about sucking something into that turbo while driving on the street though.

i can see how it's be killer on a track which is fairly clean, but on the street with leaves blowing about, grit kicked up by traffic?

Its not meant to be a street kit, however a lot of people do use it on the street with no issues what so ever.

Use a vibrant shorty. I proved on the supra that the 5" dia doesnt cost you any power until 600+ whp. At that point it starts dropping off fast. It's only like 3 or 4 " tall.

There's nothing you could put on there that would catch the road grit that has some people worried without restricting airflow OR getting full of shit and restricting your airflow, requiring you to wash it regularly.

Kind of like if you took your airbox and made it forward-facing and removed the cover.

I understand the concern, but know that Emery is trusted, so... meh?

I've actually used a stocking before. Works fine. Not very durable though.

I think some sort of metal grating covered with a stocking would keep things safe enough. But I'm not an automotive engineer so don't hold me liable for anything.

Emery, I saw the twin turbo 68 camaro at NYIRP on Sunday. He didn't have a filter either. Do you think he should put an air filter on his car?

Here is another guy with our kit tuned on just 93 oct pump gas, 24 psi and on street tires. His car made 427 whp on our dyno.

If it is driven right and it hooks it will go deep 9's if not 8's at 155 plus. This car makes all the power it needs, thats for sure.

+1

If this is labelled as a "race application" then its their own issue if they want to try to use this on the street and shouldnt be in any way a knock against the design. I woudl think a race application should be pure performance with very little consideration to practicality.

actually its entirely feasible to make an air box or CAI that can be relocated in front of the turbo on demand at the flick of a switch, much like an electronic exhaust cutout. I'm sure that could be worked out in minutes.
