Blee's 04 STI - 09-17-2009, 02:07 AM

So tonight we decided to bring Brandons 04 STI to the track to see what it has in it. So far with just a turbo back exhaust and a STM tune it went 12.5@108. Not bad at all for a pretty much stock car. I'm starting to find some love for these things after all.

Here is a link to the video that Gleason through together real quick.

Enjoy!

Stock is somewhere around 13.2-4 @ 100-104 I believe, depending on driver and conditions. This would be a fun match for me on zeee highway, but he obviously blows me away from a dig lol.

nice work!
I had read there is a lot to gain on the stock ECU tune, its super rich and wastes so much gas too, no wonder the STI only gets like 20mpg stock, thats awful.

theyre so fun though, 12.5 with just those mods is great! I love the '04's!

I can't get past the looks of the STI, or the EVO for that matter.

Though when I drove a mildly modded EVO (turboback, tune, shocks/sways/springs) it was one of the best driving cars I've ever been in. Near perfect.

Bad turning radius! (just like my old GSX).

Anyone else having issues loading the video page?

I've tried 2 different computers, and 5 different browsers and the vid just won't load.

Exhaust sounds more than just TBE. Proof of mods? Does it have a boost controller?

It's running a Downpipe (Don't know which), and JIC Catback. JIC's tone is pretty unique so maybe that's what's throwing you off.
Boost controller= Hallman.

forties- I'm running a TXS Downpipe, Testpipe, and HKS Carbon TI catback. My MBC is also Hallman.

It does have an MBC on it. Didn't metion it because you suby guys dont look at it as a mod since boost can be controlled via STOCK Ecu.

bah.. you are fine if you are tuned for it. Ive been running one since June. Needed something that could handle higher boost than the stocker.

Putting a MBC on a Subaru to up the boost without tuning is no good. Using a MBC and tuning for it is a great thing. It's all about context.
