Represent! Anyone else graduating soon? I have one more day of high school, then its off to college (MCC for me :P). I can't wait, I've heard its 10x better than high school, and I thought high school was alright (well, not going to school, but everything that happened outside of school was fun). This summer should be sweet, hanging out with friends and chillen at the beach. The next step in my life is coming fast, can't wait.

But its gotta be a hella lot more freedom than high school. At my school, you can't leave without getting in trouble, even for lunch. I'm looking forward to that.

Also, I will be living on my own for the first time. So that should be enjoyable, even though I really don't have a curfew as it is. But more freedom is something I want.

Just watch yourself. Don't fall into the habit of skipping class because it's a nice day, or wandering into a class late because you decided to eat lunch somewhat far away. Get into good habits right from the start and it'll make things a lot easier on you the whole rest of the way :tup: Congrats, and good luck!

I look back at my MCC experience, and all I feel is anger toward wasted tax money on financial aid for hood trash. Every class has the retarded kid from alphabet soup that wastes everybody else's time by asking a question the teacher just answered.

college is alot like highschool. drama never leaves you, but at least your out on your own.

though at my house my parents were never strict and i never had a curfew and could drink since like 16 (but i was also a senior at 16) so the difference between college and highschool wasn't much different lol.

one piece of advise, get an adviser ASAP and get in major ASAP if you do not do both of the above MCC will fuck you. You will end up taking classes you dont need and waste your time. ALOT of your time and money.

I wish I could go back to my last day of highschool and do college all over again! Congrats, college can be the best years of your life. I just graduated from NU and miss it a lot. I didn't think college was full of highschool drama, is that just at MCC? And good advice about going to classes, even on nice days. I learned that the hard way after my first semester!

Yea i go to churchville chili and tuesday is my last day of school and graduation is the 24th. Then off to MCC, cant wait for the 13th grade!

You guys keep saying highschool is pointless and its true. After 4 years of it I can easily say that the only reason I gave a shit last year was to do well on the SAT's, have good grades and look good to colleges. Senior year went all to hell coasting through getting A's and B's.

Hopefully college will have more to offer in terms of more specialized classes that are more interesting to me instead of suffering through those dreaded courses although it must be somewhat the same.
