View Full Version : Paint Touchups ? Where to go or do it yourself ?

The neighbor's cat has been sleeping on my car lately (somehow it gets into my garage at night), and scratched my hood up quite a bit (about 50 or so claw marks). Some of the grooves are deep, some are not. Most are like 1"-6" in length.
Its there a way I could touch that up, or would I have to take that to a paint shop ? And does anyone know where I could go to do this ? Any help would be appreciated.

go to walmart, buy a BB gun, teach the cat a lesson, then go to a body shop.

get your neighbor to paint for a complete paint job for any affected panels, you can easily take them to small claims court for that if need be.

Heres a lil update on this:
I showed them there cat sitting on their car in the extact same spot it sits on my. And then I showed them the scratch marks. They are going to pay for the damages to the hood in full.
Now my next question is...
Where do I go for a 3'x3' touchup to my hood ? Or should I have the whole hood re-painted so its all the same ?

Well. I gotta take it to a paint shop now anyhow.
I got backed into a few days ago. I have to buy new fenders and a new front bumper. So I have to get those painted as well. Anyone recommend a good place to go. Now I am not necessarily looking for cheapest. Just someone who will do a good job.
