my 96 eclipse

has anyone had any problems with the mitsubishi eclipse non-turbo rs. my gauges keep blowing a fuse and all my gauges die. does any one know what is could be. has anyone also had any problems with there belts squeaking because i had mine fixed a cuple of times and it still does it and i also had the tensioner replaced. if any one can help me out her send a post please i need to get this stuff fixed soon. thanx peace

i would never say that. read the posts and for the most part are alot of newbies with retarded questions (not putting them down again, newbies are inevitable, and the people who know their shit youll figure out quick). for popping fuses, the only problem could be a grounded wire or short in that circuit. dont ask me how to search for it, im not that great with electrical. as for the squeel, your engine is different thean mine but heres the suggestion.on early dsms the rubber on the crank damper disentigrates and lets the outer metal ring move, causing belt misalignment and squeeling, its worth a try, if not , how old is the belt. it may be time to replace it.

for ur squeeling belt check the crank pulley. they tend to break apart at the rubber between them. also u could have a bad diode in ur alternator leting the current go the wrong way then blowing fuses
